The Dear Unit (Detox, Evaluation, Assessment, Referral) is a 12 bed facility. Normal length of stay is 3 to 5 days, depending on the client's needs. This unit is a mild medical detox facility. We provide detox medication only. A person seeking treatment must be stabilized both medically and psychologically. If a person is on medication they may bring that with them. Clients must also meet financial guidelines. Each client will be examined by a physician. This unit is staffed with a Nurse 24 hours a day.
All clients will be assessed and recommendations will be given for further placement or treatment options. We detox for most substances, but for further information on the substances that are not included, please call the contact phone number above.
Professional counseling is provided 7 days a week, but only from 7:00 am through 10:00 pm.
Meals are prepared in The Freeman Center kitchen at 1401 Columbus Ave. and transported to the kitchen in the Detox unit. Staff is available 24 hours a day to take care of client needs.
